The central argument of the book is that “professional MMA is sinful” and therefore Christians should not watch it or work in it. To be fair, if that is true, then he is absolutely right. Sin is an offense against a holy God and Christians should not take part in it. That’s what will need to be proven: MMA is sinful.

Top 20 Books of 2025
While I endeavored to make a Top 10 list, l evidently failed. Instead, here are twenty of my favorite books from 2025. These encouraged me, challenged me, taught me, corrected me, and inspired me. This isn’t an endorsement for any particular author (though there are some great ones herein) but these books are a few of the most edifying ones from the last year.

Out of all of the systematic theology books I have passed the pages through, Do You Believe? offers a uniquely pastoral voice to it. Paul David Tripp takes lofty doctrinal concepts and unpacks them in a way that is easy to digest.

I’m not sure I turned a single page without reading about the good news of Jesus Christ. With the compassion of a pastor and the honesty of someone who has walked this journey before, J. Gerrett Kell calls brothers and sisters to purity in Christ.
