Theology Matters

Theology matters. Everyone is a theologian. The question is whether you have good theology or not.

The word theology is simple: “theo“ comes from the Greek word Theos (θεός) which means God. And “ology” is defined as a subject of study. Therefore, theology is the study of God.

Theology is not just for professional Christians like pastors and professors, it’s for every Christian at every age. The freshman in high school needs good theology, the 22 year old barista needs good theology, the 35 year old mom needs good theology, the 65 year old retiree needs good theology.

If you’re curious on where to start, get Christian Beliefs by Wayne Grudem. Grudem does a wonderful job at communicating heavy truths in simple ways. Easy to understand and rooted in Scripture. I love it.
